I’m home from Canada and back to work now (I have to make money to save up for the next adventure somehow!).
Canada was amazing
We woke up on our last day in Seattle, packed, and cleaned up the Airbnb before hitting the road North. It’s about a 2.5-hour drive from Seattle to Vancouver if the traffic and border crossing time are good, which is, fortunately, was for us.
Before crossing the border, we stopped in the little seaside town of Bellingham for some coffee, lunch, and most importantly, taking screenshots of the driving directions to our Vancouver Airbnb before we crossed over the border and our phones ceased to work.
Bellingham is a cute town and definitely worth a pit stop on your way between Seattle and Vancouver. I can thank a friend for the recommendation:)
Trip to Vancouver There is a nice little park called Boulevard Park with a good coffee shop called Woods Coffee that I would recommend you stop at. canada eta cost
The park is beautiful and the coffee shop has great lattes and the best gluten-free blueberry scone I’ve ever tasted. There is a nice little bridge to walk over which makes for a peaceful stroll as you drink your coffee.
We also stopped in the little downtown area for lunch which was reminiscent of a charming bygone era with adorable little shops and restaurants.
We had lunch at Skylark’s because they had the option of ordering any sandwich with gluten free bread and it was a delicious and pleasant lunch. After strolling the town a bit, we fueled up the car and continued North to the Canadian border, which I am pleased to report didn’t have a long wait time. The border crossing guard was all business, no humor whatsoever, but the crossing went quickly and smoothly and we were through in no time.
An interesting experience is to go to Egypt, You’ll need a Visa For Egypt So take control over your traveling experience.
I’m also happy to report that driving in the Vancouver area is pretty easy. I was worried we might make a wrong turn and get lost with only screenshots to dive us directions, but it was really easy to navigate and we found our Airbnb easily. We checked in and rested for a bit before venturing out on foot to find some dinner.
Trip to Vancouver
Dinner took place at a place called The Flying Pig in the historic Gastown area of town and it was delightful. I had a salmon sampler and a delicious beet and goat cheese salad and my husband had an order of poutine and brussels sprouts. We didn’t do much the first evening because we were pretty tired, but we were happy to discover our Airbnb was spectacular and we were pretty centrally located.
